RECALL ALERT: Dr. Brown's Lovey Pacifier & Teether Holder
Do you love Dr. Brown's as much as I do? I swore by the Dr. Brown's bottles when my little guy was a baby. I never used the pacifier & teether holder (I yanked the paci away at 4 weeks for fear of never getting it away from him. Now I have a perpetual thumb sucker. Po-tato, Puh-tato).
But there are 590,000 people in the US and 10,500 in Canada that are using the paci and Dr. Brown's is recommending that they stop. Handi-Craft Company of St. Louis, MO is voluntarily recalling the loveys after receiving 67 reports of the ribbon fraying and the snap detaching, posing a choking hazard to children. Luckily, no injuries have reported.
The holders were sold in eight styles: Giraffe, Zebra, Turtle, Reindeer (Special Holiday Edition), Frog (Special Holiday Edition), Spring Bunny (Special Holiday Edition), Deer and Bunny.
Only holders with the following lot codes are included in this recall: RICH0615; RICH0715; RICH0815; RICH1215; RICH0516; RICH0616; RICH0716; RICH1116; RICH1016; RICH0916; RICH1216; RICH0317; RICH0417; RICH0517; RICH0617; RICH0717; RICH0817; RICH0917. The lot codes can be found on the tag attached to the holder.
The loveys were sold at Bed Bath & Beyond, H-E-B Grocery, K-Mart, Target, Toys ‘R Us/Babies ‘R Us, Wal-Mart and various stores nationwide as well as online at Amazon.com from August 2015 to March 2018. They retailed for about $10
