RECALL ALERT: "My First Porsche" Wooden Cars

by Tara Saltzburg May 24, 2018

Hey There,

If your little boy is anything like mine, you probably can't leave a store without picking up a new toy car. But unless you've recently visited a Porsche dealership (or you daydream by frequenting the Porsche website), you're likely safe.

Porsche Cars North America Inc., of Atlanta, GA recently recalled about 2,000 "My First Porsche" wooden cars due to a choking hazard. Apparently the wheels and axles can detach from the wooden toy car, posing a risk to young children.

The cars are made of wood with a blue body and tan wheels. The word “PORSCHE” is printed on both sides of the car and it measures about 4" long x 2" wide x 1.5" tall. The underside of the toy has “BAJO” and a lot number printed on it.

03 1 1 1 6

0405 1 6

04 1 2 1 7

05 1 0 1 5

The cars were sold at Porsche dealers nationwide and at shop4.porsche.com/usa/ along with other websites between April 2015 and March 2018. They retailed for about $25.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled toy cars, take them away from young children and contact a local authorized Porsche dealer to return the recalled car and receive a full refund.
