RECALL ALERT: Paw Patrol Marshall Hat & Flashlight

by Tara Saltzburg April 08, 2018

Hey There,

If you have little ones between the ages of 2 and 5, chances are they're (you're) into Paw Patrol. And chances are, you spend quite a bit of time singing that catchy theme song:

ūüéĶPaw Patrol, Paw Patrol, we'll be there on the double... ūüéĶ

I haven't been to a Spirit Halloween in quite some time. But if I had, I likely would've walked out with one of the Paw Patrol Marshall hat & flashlight sets named in this recall...

Spirit Halloween of Egg Harbor Twp., NJ voluntarily recalled 20,000+ Paw Patrol Marshall hats and accessory flashlights due to a burn and fire hazard. Apparently the batteries in the flashlight can overheat, causing the flashlight to become hot.

The firm has received four reports of the flashlight overheating, but luckily, no injuries or fires have been reported.

The hats are red with a yellow ribbon and spotted dog ears. A black flashlight is included and attached to the side of the hat. The flashlight and hat share the same SKU number. Only flashlights with SKU 01292093 and date codes 1703RY01, 1603RY01, and 1503RY01 are involved in the recall. You can find the SKU number and date codes sewn into a label under the ear on the hat.

Consumers should immediately take the flashlight away from children, remove the batteries, dispose of it, and contact Spirit Halloween for a full refund (Customers will be asked to provide a photo of the tag located under the ear in the hat).
